LOL! Aha! So you were! (Just kidding - I only read and ran away asap since it was super scary.) I ran out of inspirations but maybe get it back later for New Years (lol).

Anyway, back to topic, BLM, did you delete some of your stories on here again? 'Cause I couldn't find that one story w/ Wallace, Cyndi, Nicholas. I want to re-read! (But I'm actually to go back and re-read my stuffs so I can remember where I left off to update!  Roll Eyes)

oh yea totally! I was so amazed with my very first story. Itz not a work of art or anything but I think that's my best work. after that I don't really have confidence in all my stories

Take your old works into account because chances are, they will help you improve.

How does it feel writing in script form then changing to the "regular" way, B? XD

Trying to get this thread going again?

If you're asking in general, I'll go first (since the others are not around right now). I started the regular way since I started writing short stories (not fan fic related) but 'cause I got lazy so switched to script format for my actual first fan fic. But when I switched back to regular way again, it made me want to go back to the other stories and change it to regular way as well. (If it wasn't like 70 chapters I already went and changed it! LOL)

I think both ways are fine - depending on whether people could use it to their advantage, but the regular way help me improve my descriptions and narrative a bit better. (NOT to mention my horrendous and limited vocabulary at times.)

wowzers! So i guess you prefer the non-script way now Cheesy I think maybe other script writers think the way you do (the laziness XD) since you don't have to spend time describing but get to the juicy conversations Tongue

I agree that the "regular way" contributes more when it comes to developing a better grasp for description.

The thing about vocab is you not only need to know what the words mean... you also need to know how to manipulate it to assist in conveying what you want your readers to get out of your story.

Yes, the second part is the hardest, manipulating the vocabs so it not only flow better with the story but also give off the right feeling and/or imagery.

I recently feel like whatever I do with the stories - even if my readers like it, I still feel that it's too lame. I meant the first time around, it sounds romantic (a bit cheesy) but sounds like a good idea to me to just put it in as part of the plot. But then when I went back to read it like several months later, I'll be like, "Where in the world did I get that lame idea?" So far, I could only say that I'm proud of only 1 story that I wrote.

Haha... Don't we?
I guess to others it might seems silly but to us it is just a form of complement for our work! Smiley
